First Congregational United Church of Christ is: ◾A non-creedal, Christ-centered congregation. We believe that in Jesus Christ, we have found and experience the grace and love of God. We believe that the Bible is the testimony of how God has been at work in the world. And we believe that we are called to seek and discover God’s ways in community, seeking together the guidance of the Spirit. ◾Proudly the home of Dodger Preschool since 1973, and a charter member of ICKY’S youth center here in Fort Dodge. (For more information on Dodger Preschool call 955-6060.) ◾Blessed with an active Sunday school program for ages 3 – 12 and a growing youth group for grade 3 – 5, and 6 – 12. ◾Growing in our mission to serve the community of Fort Dodge. Already, we support the Lord’s Cupboard, D/SAOC, and Church World Service. More is coming soon! ◾A part of the United Church of Christ, a united and uniting denomination that was the first to ordain women in ministry, the first to ordain people LGBTQ for ministry, and was the first major denomination in the US to call for marriage equality. No, the picture is NOT upside down. I did this to make a point...imagine if we only ever looked at things from a single point of view. It wouldn't be fun, polite, or even considerate. We need to remind ourselves that in this world there are many different points of view and to truly experience life, we should look as many as we can. See u soon!!

Isn't it marvelous to share our church with up and coming generations? Always exciting to watch a graduation, it's such a milestone! Congratulations to the 4 year old class of 2019!!

On Wednesday when I woke up, I knew my eyes were fuzzy with sleep but not my ears because I heard a joyful noise!! The roofing company has come to get the new roof underway! If you want to donate to the roof, you sure can. My pal Alan took me to see what was happening and then we decided it was good!

Oh my goodness!!! What a day this turned out to be! My senses went crazy today! First was my favorite smell, can u guess what it is by the pictures? FRESH CUT GRASS! And I got to stand on it with my bare furry feet! Then I got to see my very good friend Alan Forbes, he helped me and I helped him. Helping others is rewarding in many ways and when there are big jobs to do, the more the merrier! God certainly is good! Thank you Alan for all that you do!!

I am so pleased that I was able to meet so many people at church last Sunday. I was able to share a short story with them and they even got suckers that looked like me!! I pray for many more adventures to share.

This new furniture is so very beautiful and comfy!! I promise I didn't jump on it but I had to share with you all. God's embrace brings about peace, safety and yes you guessed it, its comfy!!! When I share time with God I feel comfy too. If you get the chance to see the new furniture, give it a try but no jumping please!! I think I know two people at First Congregational who are jumpy people 😁 I'm always jumping, jumping for Jesus!!

Corky, the Congregationalist here! I know we only met yesterday but I actually began my adventure with this church last week! These wonderful people created a cake that was so fun, that I just had to follow it to its destination...the D/SAOC cake auction! I am so very thankful how you all pulled together as a team to show your support for your community. Being supportive of others is another way to share the love of God and shower blessings upon them. Thank you all! I enjoyed the ride!!

Gather round and let me introduce myself!!! My name is Corky, the Congregationalist and as you can see, I'm on a life adventure. I want to share my adventures with you and you can share with me. Today God gave us sunshine and what better way to enjoy it than here on this bench! Blue skies, warmth and a slight breeze He gave to us this day. Everyday He gives us something if you choose to look. God always keeps it real!
